Daisy, George and Grace

Last weekend I visited the beautiful home of Daisy, George and Grace. Their parents wanted some photos of baby Grace while she was still a baby, and some of the other two children too. The whole family was absolutely stunning, with the most gorgeous eyes, and so well behaved too!

I was asked to bring some props, so I brought my bag of tricks along, and had a blast playing around. I think Daisy particularly enjoyed herself!

Here are some of my favourite photos from the day:

Robert, Elaine and Toastie

Robert had received a gift voucher of mine for his birthday. As I have family and friends in North London, I tend to do quite a lot of work that way, and last weekend Robert and Elaine invited me to Hadley Wood to join them in walking their beloved dog Toastie, and take some photos.

It was immensely sunny which are surprisingly hard conditions to photograph in. The ideal in that situation is to get the subjects into the shade, but there wasn't much shade to be found.

The walk was lovely, Toastie was very well behaved, and has an obvious love of fish treats which helped to get her into positions! On the way back to the car we passed a gorgeous little house with amazing flowers in the garden, we asked the lady in the garden if we could take some photos in front of the house and she invited us right the way in and told us how it was an arms house. She was adorable, and so was the scenery.

Rob, Elaine and Toastie - hope you like your sneek peak!

Luka & Sascha

The parents of these two cuties are about to have a wedding anniversary - so as a surprise, their Mummy arranged to have some photos taken to give to her hubbie (and what a fantastic idea that is, wouldn't you agree?!) So.... if you happen to know the 3 gorgeous people in the photos - no spilling the beans!

We had to work fast as the Sascha was getting tired, and Luka having just turned 3, wanted to do arts and craft instead of having his photos taken..... but I think we got some good'uns! They were a lovely lovely family, and I really hope that Daddy is thrilled with his anniversary present.

The Wharton Family

Last Saturday the weather we had in London was absolutely fantastic. Days earlier we'd seen grey skies, wind, rain, and general rubbishness... so to wake up to blue clear skies and a temperature that needed no jacket was fabulous!

The Wharton's live a little while away from me - so I had to drive through London to get there - seeing people out having picnics, running in shorts and vests, and just being summery was SO lovely!

Wanting to take advantage of our luck with the weather, after we had done some shots with the backdrop as per their request, the family took me over to Kew Gardens which was just gorgeous.

There seems to be a recent trend with young girls who's photos I'm taking to become a photography director and suggesting poses - which I'm all for encouraging. It means the photo will mean far more to them, as it was them that helped to create it.

Here are some shots from the day. More good weather now please!

The Chatten Family

The Chattens are the family of Baby Charley, who I'd taken photos of the week before. It was only fair that the rest of the family got their turn in front of the camera too! The girls were fab - telling me which poses they wanted to do, and each time I suggested something they fell into their own version of it afterwards. Great little models, just like their baby sister....

Exciting News!

Some photos I have taken, of my children, will be appearing in a feature film! 'Foster', starring Ioan Gruffudd and Toni Collette is being shot at the moment - and my photos will be on the bank managers desk! I will do a reminder nearer the time so you can look out for them :D

In other news, I've just finished editing a corporate job I did.... I won't put any of them up here. I've also had lots of requests for business cards from people - so I've been trying to get a design together but not doing very well at all.... boo. I also need to get some postcards sorted - arrrrrgh! I need someone with a flair for graphic design.... if that's you, please get in touch - alice@bellalunaphotography.co.uk thanks!

11 Days Old

Well it was the weekend for newborn bubbas it seems! The day after I was photographing baby Charley, here I was with this gorgeous little boy who was 11 days old! He was yet to be named at the time, but that doesn't seem to have bothered him - check out the smiles! There was an unfortunate incident of a poo in Mummy's hands, but this being her third baby, she dealt with it like a pro!
